Long Time Coming
The inspiration for Troublesome came in 2017 when graphic designer co-founders, Natasha and Sam were traveling through Amsterdam and stumbled on a small coffee shop that shared space with a design studio. They fell involve with the idea of merging the two, and four years later began working towards their own spin on the idea in Toronto’s west end.
After moving into a new space in February of 2020, Troublesome was abruptly put on a hold until June of 2021 due to Covid-19.
Love Comes in Threes
Troublesome loves three things: design, coffee, and cycling.
Products are sourced from all over and are centered around thoughtful, practical design.
Night Shift is the design studio who operates Troublesome and can be found directly in the back of the shop.
Confused? Annoyed? That's the point. 😈
We root for the underdogs. The artists, the makers, the musicans, the writers and the hobbyists. The folks who are going their own way. The over achievers and the under appreciated.
They are troublesome.
